Dear Friend,
Tomorrow, we celebrate far more than fireworks and family gatherings.
On the Fourth of July, we honor a remarkable moment in history when ordinary people made an extraordinary decision—to build a nation founded on liberty, self-government, personal responsibility, and the belief that our future would always be determined by the people.
That promise has endured for 250 years because generation after generation has chosen to protect it through service, sacrifice, hard work, and civic engagement.
As I have spent the past several months meeting with so many of you throughout Paso Robles, one thing has become abundantly clear: despite our different opinions, we all want the same fundamental things. We want safe neighborhoods, thriving local businesses, opportunities for our children and grandchildren, responsible government, and a community we are proud to call home.
Our nation’s founders understood that freedom requires participation. Strong communities are not built by division or by waiting for someone else to solve our problems. They are built by neighbors who listen to one another, volunteer, serve, and work together for something larger than themselves.
That belief is one of the reasons I chose to become involved in public service. I believe Paso Robles has an incredible future—not because of any one person, but because of the character, generosity, and resilience of the people who live here.
As we gather with family and friends this Independence Day, let us remember those who secured our freedoms, those who continue to defend them today, and those who quietly strengthen our communities every day through acts of kindness, service, and leadership.
May we never lose sight of the enduring ideals that unite us as Americans: liberty, opportunity, respect for one another, and hope for the future.
From my family to yours, I wish you a safe, joyful, and meaningful Fourth of July.
God Bless Paso Robles, and God Bless the United States of America.
Happy Independence Day!
